EB1911 article; needs update[edit]

This is largely a copy of the text in the 1911 Encyclopædia Britannica Eleventh Edition (hence the "kafirs" reference); however, it is missing the second page of that article in the first place. Then it should be brought up to date - there are OCR errors and obviously dated information. See here and the Columbia encyclopedia. David Brooks 21:56, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There was a wrong sentence about Pashtu and it´s origine. The correct version of the state is An Iranian language of the east, perhaps a Saka dialect, Paṧtō originated in the northern part of the eastern Iranian area and borrowed a great deal from Indo-Aryan..... Someone with alian intentions changed it and added Badakhchan to it.--94.219.218.20 (talk) 13:32, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The original source which was used was "Afghanistan, vi. Paṧtō, G. The position of Paṧtō within Iranic" from this article. I verified it was correct and restored. 119.152.246.179 (talk) 08:42, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Improvement needed[edit]

The sections about the history of the region contains too many details and it's difficult not to loose the central theme while reading and that is especially, to which empires/states the region belonged throughout history.--Severino (talk) 12:12, 5 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
