Notes[edit]

With regards to the question of the adjective form: is the preference of Argentine over Argentinian a British / American thing, or is the use of 'Argentinian' simply wrong? --Saforrest 19:51, Oct 11, 2004 (UTC)

ARGENTINE OR ARGENTINIAN ?[edit]

Of course "Argentinian" is in the dictionary, so it's difficult to say that it's wrong. However, The U.S. Department of State lists "Argentine" as the preferred form. I have included a link below th their site/page.

Wasn't it "Argrentine" for things and "argentinian" for people? —Argentino (talk/cont.) 03:34, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeap, if you go furhter in the forum you'll see this: "In the UK "Argentine" is the word almost always used by official bodies like the government and in BBC reports". Mariano(t/c) 07:22, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally, when searching for Argentinian, Google says "Did you mean: Argentine?". Mariano(t/c) 09:16, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
