Thinnest possible entry. Someone who cares about Postmodernism should write something for here or delete this. Ortolan88

Someone will in due course. In the meantime, the list is fairly accurate and hopefully will inspire someone to do it. This propensity for deletion seems kind of retrograde and contrary to what Wikipedia is about. There are some much bigger and altogether more factually devoid articles than this about Ortolan :-) user:sjc

I came across this article through a jump via Random page. I can't look at every article in the Wikipedia, but when I see one that seems worth commenting on, I comment. I put "deletion" in my comment to get someone to take a look. It worked. I don't understand why people are deleting things just because they are orphans either. They might get adopted.

But, having your attention, I still think this is thin fare. Does anyone really believe that punk rock, disco, grunge, and psychedelic music represent any kind of unified artistic movement or statement related to postmodernism? Or is it this just ex post facto categorization of some commercially successful genres? It's still rock and roll to me, as postmodern philosopher and aesthetic critic Billy Joel put it. Ortolan88

Points well made and taken user:sjc

It is possible to write a very substantial article on postmodern music, I think, but I'm thinking of composers like Mauricio Kagel, Luciano Berio and (to get a bit more obscure) Trevor Wishart (and their succesors). I daresay certain critics have labeled punk, or whatever, as postmodern, but it's a pretty marginal view, and I wouldn't be able to make a case for it myself (and my knowledge of punk music is pretty decent).
While I'm here, let me ask something I've often wondered about - are pages like this in the form Subject/Sub-subject to be moved? Seems they ought to be if they're not - why not postmodern music for this article, for example? --Camembert
