Wondering how to edit this U.S. City Entry?

Bringing the public school system back too Arkansas City.[edit]

Realizing the reason the school merged with neighboring districts is because of the
tax dollars received from the paper mill are now being given too this other city.
We have too find a way too those funds re-alocated too our town.

Pronunciation of Arkansas City[edit]

I know how to say Arkansas (state), but how do you pronounce Arkansas City?

Is it like Arkansas City in Kansas, or is it different? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.219.159.217 (talk) 19:25, 25 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Education section[edit]

@Lieutcoluseng: Hi! I saw this edit. I appreciate the efforts to do copyediting.

The educational consolidations throughout the rural United States were important as they showed a decline in rural life in general. Many towns lost their schools, as Arkansas City did. Those events are not mere footnotes, but often watershed events which cause further declines in those towns. It is extremely important that these sections about education systems are comprehensive and cover the full history of education, not only the current school district.

Additionally, the removed content had the referencing which proved that Arkansas City belonged to McGehee district (because Arkansas City schools consolidated into McGehee). I restored the entire section because it is key to Arkansas City's history, and I also added a Census Bureau map which shows that Arkansas City is in the McGehee district.

Thank you, WhisperToMe (talk) 05:16, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good, WhisperToMe. You got my vote. Lieutcoluseng (talk) 02:22, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
