Confirmation that all parties are aware of the request[edit]

I advised Kain on all 3 talk pages suspected to belong to him and his sockpuppets. I have discussed the issue with User:SlimVirgin, User:Zscout370, and User:Jayjg, and all agreed to assist with the case if the behavior continues, which it has.

Confirmation that other steps in dispute resolution have been tried[edit]

Numerous users have discussed the issue with this user on his Talk pages. See User talk:KaintheScion and User talk:ElKabong. He has been warned multiple times to refrain from personal attacks and 3RR violations but has not done so. Also, a RFC was attempted. See Wikipedia:Requests for comment/KaintheScion. No change in behavior was observed as a result. Multiple 24-hour blocks have also been imposed for 3RR violation.

Checking out the anon. IP address cited as being sockpuppets, I found something disturbing...[edit]

The results are currently on my talkpage... I started with the Whois results, and then went to Geobytes. What I find disturbing is that Geobytes was able to pinpoint 4 of the IP addresses. Now 2 of them traced back to Houston with a 99 percent certainty, but a third traces back to a city in Nevada called Gerlach with a 90 percent certainty. Finally, the fourth IP address it was able to locate traced back to Toronto... as in Toronto, Ontario Province, Canada. Certainty for that one? 99 percent. Whois designated that IP address as being registered to a Canadian ISP as well. So here's the problem... if this is true... how can these be sockpuppets of the same person? It doesn't make any sense... --Chanting Fox 01:16, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

It could be a proxy server, unless we are dealing with various copycats. Zscout370 (Sound Off) 03:31, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I think it's probably a script kiddie hijacking systems Back Orifice-style. The tone of voice is pretty constant. --Tony Sidaway|Talk 15:24, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Ban reset[edit]

David Gerard, our official Trollsmeller Poursuivaunt, has confirmed Existentializer and Ni-ju-Ichi as socks of this banned user [4]. According to 2.1 of the final decision, his ban will be reset and will run until 31 July, 2006. --Tony Sidaway|Talk 07:04, 1 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
