GA[edit]

I've made some minor edits and passed the article for GA status. As someone with pretty much no knowledge in ice hockey, it seems pretty good to me. You might want to try and make the second half of the article less listy though. Other than that, good work.--The Spith 11:37, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks! I appreciate the suggestion. I did revert one change you made, however, as the WHL describes winning percentage using a .xxx format, so .701 is more correct than 70.1% in this case. Resolute 16:37, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Roster Changes?[edit]

Would it be appropriate to remove players that we know won't be returning next year? For example, Robin Figren was taken by Edmonton in the expansion draft, Freddie Petterssen decided to return to Sweden, and Dylan Yeo and I believe Riley Merkley will be leaving due to age. (All of this from the Hitmen's website.) Doogie2K (talk) 21:36, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

If you like. Given how fluid junior rosters are from year to year, I felt I would rather wait until the 2007-08 roster was finalized before making changes. Resolute 21:55, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Fair enough. Doogie2K (talk) 21:26, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

Junior ice hockey vs. Junior hockey#Canada[edit]

On the first line of the lead, wouldn't it be better to substitute [[Junior hockey#Canada|major junior]] for [[junior ice hockey|major junior]] (which redirects to Junior hockey without the "ice" anyway). Like this: major junior.

In this way, the definition of "major junior" (which was new to me) is on the screen right away rather than having the reader have to scroll for it. I'd do it myself but I dislike changing any lead paragraph without discussion and besides, this is today's feature article. --RoyGoldsmith (talk) 14:29, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

It is a good thought, but having the link go straight to the #Canada section bypasses the definition of junior hockey, which I suspect is just as important for people not aware of the terminology to know. I think I will edit the lead of junior hockey to make a quick note of what major junior is, which should hopefully also respond to your question. Cheers! Resolute 14:38, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Even better. --RoyGoldsmith (talk) 18:22, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
