Tenth Doctor pictures[edit]

Hey, I left a comment at the VfD page. Just for convenience's sake, here's my comment: "I uploaded the second one before I knew the first had been uploaded. It was originally for the Tenth Doctor page or the page for the first episode in which he appears (I don't really remember) but the portrait on the Tenth Doctor page is a new promotional picture from the BBC. If anyone finds a use for it then go for it, but I wouldn't be broken hearted if people vote to delete." Just a heads up for you. FilthMasterFlex 03:51, 30 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Big Finish Audios[edit]

If you're planning to do listings for the Doctor Who audios, I suggest that to keep it consistent with the other Doctor Who pages, we should settle on some naming conventions. Doctor Who Phantasmagoria, for example, is a bit of an unweildy title: try Phantasmagoria (Doctor Who audio), perhaps. And you should create a category for Category: Doctor Who audio plays. --khaosworks 17:15, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Doctor Who[edit]

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize there was a DW wiki project. --Proteus71 15:18, 15 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I noticed you moved the article GrailQuest back to Grailquest. Although it doesn't really make a difference to me, it seems that the author of the books capitalizes the 'q'. Therefore it would seem more appropriate that the name of the page also capitalizes it. What do you think? -- Rune Welsh 18:36, May 3, 2005 (UTC)

Hi. Sorry to be a pedant, but please use double quotes not italics to denote a story within a series, as per Wikipedia:Manual of Style. And please don't edit existing articles to replace the double quotes with italics. (eg. [1]) Thanks. P Ingerson (talk) 10:11, 7 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Telos novellas[edit]

Hey, Tim. Just to let you know, I thought that it would look better if it got moved to Telos Doctor Who novellas to match with Virgin New Adventures. --khaosworks 04:15, May 13, 2005 (UTC)

re VFD note[edit]

Thanks for the comment on the Jotun Hein VFD... I think it ought to be deleted, just wandered off a bit on a thought process ;) --TimPope 11:10, 19 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed. :) It's just that if you nominate something more controversial and display a wishy-washy opinion someone could easily point at that and say "bogus nomination in questionable faith, nominator's not even sure of his own opinion" or some such bad-faith comment like that. Not good! Master Thief Garrett 11:23, 19 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Vandal revert[edit]

No problem. I was peeking at your page and saw the obvious vandalism - that's what a sysop rollback key is for. :)

Oh, btw, re: Virgin Missing Adventures links in other articles like Pyramids of Mars - might be a good idea to provide the link in the note to the e-book if available. --khaosworks 21:36, May 31, 2005 (UTC)

History Videos[edit]

Should we place it on VFD again to see if we get a better consensus. I agree that the page should be toasted, but having 2/1 votes, that can be why the page is being recreated. Zscout370 (Sound Off) 01:29, 13 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

re: Yes, Minister[edit]

I think we should expand the Yes, Minister information on Wikipedia one way or another - more detailed episode guide (see Blackadder), pages for the main characters (Hacker, Humphrey and Bernard) and a brief description of the minor characters on the main Yes, Minister page. The sitcom was voted the 9th best (?) British sitcom not long ago and is definetely one of my favourite. So many of the things Sir Humphrey says have now come true - the European Union stuff especially (more member states = more arguments and less integration, etc). So let's expand! David

Doctor Who images[edit]

Tim, while the screenshots from BBC Three are all right (although there should be some way to get rid of the station id logo), I'm a bit more concerned about the bigger photographs and stuff that has been too-obviously cribbed from DWIA. I haven't reviewed all the images yet, but maybe you should go through and check to see if any are any. The size of some of them is also a bit jarring compared to the standard 4:3 or 16:9 sizes we used in other articles - maybe you can try cropping them? I actually do have AVIs of many of these serials, and if you don't mind, over the course of the next week, I'll probably grab similar scenes and replace those pictures with ones that are definitely legitimate screenshots and not someone else's work. --khaosworks 22:55, July 14, 2005 (UTC)

re: Dont Remove VFD notices from articles.[edit]

You Wrote:
Don't remove Votes for deletion notices from articles. --Tim Pope 09:15, 23 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It wasn't me who removed the VFD notice from the R.A.B. article. It was someone else. Look: [[2]]

I don't want to be considered a bad user. I follow the rules on Wiki. I hope you see it wasn't me.

no problem[edit]

dont worry about it. just glad to have my name cleared. Osu8907 21:42, 24 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding delete vote of Lobstergotchi and Lobsters & Horses Inc.[edit]

Goodday TimPope. I'd like to discuss the issue of deleting Lobstergotchi and Lobsters & Horses Inc.. Please take a look at the discussion part and revalute your vote. I have updated both Lobstergotchi and Lobsters & Horses Inc. in a more solid way so that it shouldn't be subject for deletion.

Thanks in advance :)

Moving schools around[edit]

Kappa and I both oppose your moving of schools around and merging others. Please discuss this with a view to gaining consensus prior to moves. I'm not opposed to this in principle, but your choice of schools doesn't seem to me particularly useful. --Tony SidawayTalk 12:35, 7 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You write: but many of these articles are only kept because the vfd's ended on no consensus.

Well yes. This is the only circumstance in which an article listed for deletion is ever kept!

You write: Each of the articles I merged were very short containig information that was POV.

I must have missed the POV. Why didn't you just edit out the POV statements?

You write: On the list they can be reduced to essentials

We're writing an encyclopedia, not a list of essentials.

You write: I do not intend to discuss such changes as that way leads endless commitee style no consensus. It is against the spirit of wikipedia to discuss rather than act.

Okay, fine, and you'll run into opposition. --Tony SidawayTalk

Do it. List them for deletion and we'll see. --Tony SidawayTalk 13:11, 7 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop this activity. Community preference is in favour of having individual school articles. Osomec 21:12, 7 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
