Welcome![edit]

Hi Navisliburnia, and a warm welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you have enjoyed editing as much as I did so far and decide to stay. Unfamiliar with the features and workings of Wikipedia? Don't fret! Be Bold! Here's some good links for your reference and that'll get you started in no time!

Most Wikipedians would prefer to just work on articles of their own interest. But if you have some free time to spare, here are some open tasks that you may want to help out :

  • RC Patrol - Keeping a lookout for vandalism.
  • Cleanup - Help make unreadable articles readable.
  • Requests - Wanted on WP, but hasn't been created.
  • Merge - Combining duplicate articles into one.
  • Wikiprojects - So many to join, so many to choose from...Take your pick!

Oh yes, don't forget to sign when you write on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: ~~~~. This will automatically add your name and the time after your comments. And finally, if you have any questions or doubts, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Once again, welcome! =)

Image deletion warning The image Image:RENEA sniper.jpg has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it will be deleted. If you have any information on the source or licensing of this image, please go there to provide the necessary information.

The same applies to File:84268 1.jpg. Being on a publically accessible forum does not place content into the public domain. Pakaran 19:57, 26 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

copyright issues[edit]

I notice that you have again uploaded the above image and have said that it is public domain. Since the source states that you found this through Google images, PD is very unlikely. If there is some reason why this image is public domain, please explain at the image page. Thanks, CLW 15:29, 13 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disclaimer[edit]

I found this immage, as many others, on open forums and/or Gooogle Images by simply searching by name and title. They dont have specifications regarding their copyright status, and I havent found them on websites which might retain their right to distribute the image. I have made mention of two external links on the RENEA article. Images there are plentiful and since it is an open discussion forum, members download images at their leisure. With such a high traffic in images, it is impossible to dertemine their copyright status, assuming they have one to begin with. The following links will provide proff as to what I say. But you may want to conduct your own search for images to see copyright status indeed applies to them

Thanks Navisliburnia Friday 1/13/2006 12:01 U.S. SET

Please note that this still doesn't mean that these images are in the public domain! CLW 18:28, 13 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK, then, since there is nothing specific atatched to it, which would lead me to believe that someone, or some website, is claiming authorship, thereby the item is copyrighted...well then, I assume you can take the picture off.

Image copyright problem with Image:AL63.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:AL63.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. --OrphanBot 06:43, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright[edit]

Please stop tagging images as PD when you find them on forums and Google images - this certainly does not qualify them as public domain! May I suggest that you read Public domain and understand what is meant before tagging images as PD? Thanks, CLW 12:08, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've checked through and replaced the PD domain tags with "no licence" tags on the images which you uploaded from Google and forums. If you're able to ascertain the correct copyright status and a more detailed source ("Google images" isn't enough to allow other editors to confirm copyright details), please do! CLW 12:19, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK, no problem, will do that Navisliburnia

Image Tagging Image:028bS.jpg[edit]

Warning sign
This image may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:028bS.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --OrphanBot 11:53, 27 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry but I had to report the article you first posted and worked on:

Battle of Ujebardha[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Battle of Ujebardha, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Addhoc 18:32, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article International Solutions Group has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article does not indicate notability by Wikipedia's criteria, despite being here since 2006.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ... discospinster talk 15:12, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Anglo–American Invasion of Communist Albania. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Operation Valuable. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Operation Valuable. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Gugrak (talk) 16:21, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
