Max Kämper[edit]

I just found a website dedicated to the detective work to find out who Max Kämper was: www.familie-luyken.de/07Genealogie/Bilder/10Gen/10029/maxE.htm. Seven Pages full of details and pictures in English. Would be worth linking, especially as the section about Kämper's discoveries has no citation so far. BTW, there is mentioned that another German, Max Eyth, visited the cave 40 year earlier in 1866 and also published a description and map. The English Wiki page does not mention it, on the German page a publication about his work is cited: "Hans Binder: Der Ingenieur und Dichter Max Eyth (1836–1906) und sein Plan der Mammuthöhle in Kentucky (USA) aus dem Jahr 1866. München: Verband der Deutschen Höhlen- und Karstforscher e. V., 1997. (= Abhandlungen zur Karst- und Höhlenkunde, 28)". The periodical "Abhandlungen zur Karst- und Höhlenkunde" is published and the 1997 edition is still being sold by the German cave exploring association, www.vdhk.de/der-verband/publikationen.html 47.71.46.26 (talk) 19:25, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
