Reality shift[edit]

Hi, Zythe! Thanks for joining the discussion on the reality shifts page. I welcome a balanced POV for the topic, particularly regarding areas you view to be potentially slanted, such as coincidences being just that. Cynthia Sue Larson 22:35, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It would seem that it is an article based on / connected to your website? My main problem with it is that it described reality shifts as factual things, much like the article on say, a tree would. The article should really explain that reality shifts are unproven, and very unscientific. It also very much comes across as a vanity page with insufficient referencing (inline references are best). I understand you're a metaphysics researcher? I do not doubt your qualification to write the article, and I would probably believe it a subject you may have personally helped to make prominent, notable, even invent. I'll look over it some more tomorrow when I'm less tired, but I think it could do with some work. Respectfully, ~ZytheTalk to me! 23:47, 19 November 2006 (UTC).[reply]
Thank you; I greatly appreciate your assistance in creating an objective page for this topic. My interest in this topic is due to a large number of personal experiences with it, as well as surveys with people who report having also encountered reality shifts. I agree that more varied and more extensive references will prove most helpful here. There are fictional examples of reality shifts which are not yet mentioned here, which should also provide a more balanced report on the subject. Cynthia Sue Larson 02:19, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
House of M would be a fictional example, right? ~ZytheTalk to me! 12:08, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It may well be... I'm not that familiar with House of M, but it looks like it might be a good example. I've heard of role playing games and books such as Ubik and movies in which reality shifts back in time.

Notable people...[edit]

It's always interesting to meet notable people in my course of work here on wikipedia, and in "real" life... especially when we actually live within the same area. Excuse me for not revealing my actual city of residence, but suffice to say it's quite near Sac-town.

I've taken a look at your reality shifts article and from what I see it looks nice. I am a little concerned that it focuses primarily on your research, but that might be just a problem with how new the "subject" is. I am also concerned a bit that your trying to classify a group of unrelated phenomenon under a single header. I haven't looked into the research enough to make a complete evaluation, so take my uninformed criticism with a grain of salt! :) ---J.S (t|c) 20:22, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I greatly appreciate your taking the time to look over the reality shifts article. I agree that it needs rounding out, and this is why I am hoping to get some contributions from others in the field who may have something good to add. The term 'reality shifts' is showing up in several books, movies, and even role-playing games, with a fairly cohesive sense of what's being described, although I agree that at first glance, the nature and scope of the shifts can seem large, as they do involve the spacetime fabric of our very existence.
