Per Above, Joe Hill (Organizer) Prominence[edit]

I apologize if I'm doing this incorrectly, but the above topic suggests that any further discussion should be added as a separate post on the talk page. In terms of cultural relevance the following is an important footnote for the prominence of the Organizer Joe Hill.

This is only a small selection of the songs bearing the name of the Organizer Joe Hill, and it seems that in terms of cultural relevance having a sizable number of culturally significant musicians having a rendition of "I Dreamt I Saw Joe Hill Last Night" signifies that the Organizer has a significant historical importance.

There is also an editorial perspective that could be viewed as significant. The labor movement in the United States is often a footnote in US history education. Raising an author over an important figure of that movement plays into the political, and cultural forces trying to suppress knowledge about the history of the labor movement in the United States. Wikipedia's "editorial perspective" is a neutral point of view, so it isn't our place to promote anyone over anyone else. There are a bunch of people and other subjects named "Joe Hill"... standard Wikipedia procedure in that case is to disambiguate them all somehow with different article titles, and put a list of them at "Joe Hill". The only exceptions to this are when one subject "is highly likely—much more likely than any other single topic, and more likely than all the other topics combined—to be the topic sought when a reader searches for that term."(WP:PT1) That isn't the case here... in fact, Joe Hill (writer) gets substantially more traffic.[1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by JasonAQuest (talk • contribs) 12:47, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
