Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Turanism related subjects

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

List of Turanism related subjects was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was to merge.

This is a list of external links prefaced by some personal comments. Listed for cleanup since one month, but nothing happened. I don't see this evolve into an encyclopedic article. --Pjacobi 13:33, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • I agree; delete. This isn't an article. (Note that the author's feelings are made clear on the talk page) Rory 13:43, Nov 17, 2004 (UTC)
  • I have a real problem with an article called "List of topics related to X" where there is no article for X! Although the topic sounds very interesting to me, the blurb in this list article clearly is insufficient. Delete -- BUT also recommend creating a Category:Turanism or something similar for those articles that exist. - [[User:KeithTyler|Keith D. Tyler [flame]]] 18:36, Nov 17, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. There is a valid topic, and now a Turanism article has been created. Probably the list should be merged into it. Charles Matthews 09:18, 18 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Which part of the list? Merging the list of of person names is IMHO unproblematic and already done. But 30 weblinks? Perhaps on the discussion page. -12:03, 18 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Not a useful article, borders on spam. Delete. I have problems with Turanism article, too; apparently an existing topic, but hardly worthy of a separate article - should be merged with Pan-Turkism. - Mike Rosoft 12:12, 18 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Carefully merge this and Turanism into Pan-Turkism. Watch carefully for POV and greatly reduce the number of external links to the most relevant and related. Keep Turanism as a redirect but delete List of Turanism related subjects. Samaritan 19:21, 18 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete Better off as a category, and right now it's acting like a link-repository. - Ta bu shi da yu 03:37, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)

This page is now preserved as an archive of the debate and, like other '/delete' pages is no longer 'live'. Subsequent comments on the issue, the deletion or on the decision-making process should be placed on the relevant 'live' pages. Please do not edit this page.
