Martha Argerich[edit]

Thanks for your contributions in Martha Argerich article. We really need more poeple working on that subject :) I do think though that the picture you uploaded should be renamed to a more descriptive title (for example ArgerichCD or something like that). If you have any questions, feel free to write me on my talk page :) -Missmarple 10:14, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Link re-insertion[edit]

May I ask why you reverted my link removal at Netiquette? The link was spammed across a few articles and was removed for this reason. Thanks. --AbsolutDan (talk) 22:18, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes that appears to be correct - my edit removed the article (I did this because it was spammed). Your edit then re-included the article. May I ask why you feel the link should be there? Thanks --AbsolutDan (talk) 01:24, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The article isn't deleted... it's still right here: Netiquette. So you're saying that you're not vouching for the link itself, you only re-added it because you thought my removal was vandalism? If this is the case, would you mind if I re-removed the link? --AbsolutDan (talk) 12:34, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I apologize for any confusion. Cheers --AbsolutDan (talk) 02:16, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:060501.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:060501.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:13, 21 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECUtalk 14:13, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free use disputed for Image:1400050219.01._SS500_SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg[edit]

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:1400050219.01._SS500_SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Qst 16:19, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, do you work for the USGOV?[edit]

Hello, do you work for the CIA, the DOD or any other part of the USGOV or USMIL? If so which one? Your edit history causes this concern. It's not a problem if you do, but you should divulge this so you don't have a COI. (Conflict Of Interest) Please see WP:COI Thank you very much. ΞBMEDLEYΔSUTLERΞ 06:29, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to delete the question. Do Not feed the trolls with an answer. The question is a violation of WP:AGF and is a form of trolling. Orphaned non-free media (Image:B00000IWVS.01. SCLZZZZZZZ .jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:B00000IWVS.01. SCLZZZZZZZ .jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 00:59, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Vlcsnap-4144970.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Vlcsnap-4144970.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. FASTILYsock (TALK) 19:35, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you have revised either Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri or Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire.

I intend to revise those articles following the Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Article guidelines. There are more details on the discussion pages of those articles. I'd be interested in any comments you have. It would be best if your comments were on the discussion pages of the two articles.

Thank you.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
