I feel trepidation about the shortening of "taikong" to "taiko". When I first encountered the word it caused me some confusion, having previous ideas about what "taiko" meant. I would like to know how to say "yuhangyuan", I'm led to understand intonation is important but not conveyed in this rendering. I'd also like to come up with a better Westernization than what we have so far.

Why does this have to redirect to the top of Astronaut and not to Astronaut#China ? Juzhong (talk) 15:04, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The consensus on Talk:Astronaut was that synonyms of Astronaut such as cosmonaut, spationaut and taikonaut should redirect to the master article on space travelers at Astronaut. Rillian (talk) 16:35, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Because if I'm searching for the term Taikonaut, a synonym of Astronaut, most likely I'm interested in learning what a professional space traveler is, not just the origin of that specific word. Rillian (talk) 17:32, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
