Help with prose[edit]

I'm working through the article trying to tidy up, but in places I'm having difficulty parsing the sense of the sentences. What does "Engineer Sylvan Morris put the songs on eight-track tape, and allocated tracks with the drum mixes on one track and piano and guitar together on another" mean? I started to copy edit it, but then realised I didn't quite know what it meant. There's also "The deal with Island led to a dispute with CBS and Sims, to whom the band were already contracted. The case was won by the first, who received US$9,000 and two percent of royalties from the band's first six albums" - who is "the first"? "Perkins, not knowing at the time what reggae was, agreed with the proposal and first played the guitar solo on "Concrete Jungle"" - does that mean Perkins was the first to play the guitar solo, but he was subsequently replaced, or that was the first thing he did? If it was the first thing he did, why is that important to say? What is the significance of him agreeing when he didn't know what reggae was? Does that mean he played badly, or had some difficulty? "Rabbit Bundrick played on all songs on numerous keyboards" - did he play numerous keyboards on all songs? "Chris Karen, Francisco Willie Pep and Winston Wright served as percussionists" - does this mean they didn't normally play percussion, but did so on this album because there was a need? Any help appreciated. If not, I'll track back through the article history to see who added those statements to see if they can remember. SilkTork ✔Tea time 14:48, 17 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sleeves[edit]

The 1974 album, where Bob is smoking a Spliff on the front and the band on the backside where Bob is in the middle. These photographs are taken by the brilliant Esther Andersson - is it possible to put her name up there, That she took these photos? Would it be possible to have a photo of the backside of the sleeve as well ?
