WP:DASH[edit]

Hi! Thansk for changing the dashes in Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series to the correct type. However, for non-range uses of dashes, there should be spaces on either side of the dash. Thanks.  Stepho  (talk) 01:57, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note, but your fix was incorrect. Per WP:EMDASH, em dashes—used to indicate interruption in a sentence—are not spaced. "Do not space em dashes." Cheers! Kevin Forsyth (talk) 13:13, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

Eli Broad College of Business[edit]

Hey, I saw that you removed the content I added for the Eli Broad College of Business page. I understand the reasons for removal, but I would still like to make the changes in the proper, legal fashion. Do you believe that the Undergraduate Degree section needs separate sections and descriptions for its majors and specializations, or should I just leave it alone? Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks! MotoFly1675 (talk) 18:26, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'd say that descriptions of the undergrad programs would be an improvement over the bullet-point list that is there now, but for obvious reasons a cut-and-paste from the school's website isn't possible—if you want to add it you'll have to write it in your own words. Thanks for your effort. Kevin Forsyth (talk) 19:22, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

Tequila[edit]

not vandalising chris fowler[edit]

Chris is Chris Fowler's middle name.He is jewish per a few websites. I put that he will die in the 21st century which is true .Fowlers middle name is Chris.Chris Fowler did get a degree in sports journalism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimmyorcas (talkcontribs) 19:11, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Whether or not Fowler will die in this century is immaterial—adding that information violates WP:CRYSTAL. The claim that he's Jewish requires a reliable source to give verification, which you did not provide, and so must be removed per WP:BLP. But that's beside the point. Adding items such as "birth_place = earth", "death_place = Milky Way Galaxy", "ethnicity = human", and "salary = a lot" are joke edits at best, and disruptive. Even if you are making these edits in good faith, Wikipedia is better off without them. Kevin Forsyth (talk) 19:33, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

Vernors article[edit]

You may wish to monitor the Vernors article more as someone is deleting factual info which I had to reinforce with additional citations regarding the former Vernor's shop in Flint MI which is now a Halo Burger restaurant. Steelbeard1 (talk) 12:56, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note. I haven't defended the Halo Burger info since I'm undecided whether it is sufficiently notable for inclusion. Also, I'm not sure that photos on Flickr constitute reliable sources. Please don't count on me for its defense. Thanks, Kevin Forsyth (talk) 22:03, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

vandalism[edit]

Hi Kevin Forsyth, you seem to have an enemy. Today your userpages on Commons and Wikitravel were vandalized (already reverted by me). In addition, the vandal left a link to http://kevinforsyth.wikia.com/wiki/KevinForsyth_Wiki which seems to be his "creation". --Túrelio (talk) 18:40, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Túrelio,
Thank you! —for the heads up, and the assist in cleaning. Yes, it seems I have made an enemy, someone with nothing better to do than cast aspersions on the College GameDay gang. For whatever reason he has singled me out among the many editors fighting his vandalism. Here's hoping he gets bored some day soon, as I'm running low on troll food. Best wishes, Jivecat (talk) 23:36, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Thanks[edit]

On behalf of WP:CHICAGO, thanks for the editorial contributions.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hello, Jivecat. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Vinod 11:54, 12 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
