The previous (and first) version of this page consisted of self-congratulation (written in a mixture of the 3rd person singular and second person) identical to that on any of the many pages you can find via [|this Google search]. (Incidentally, this is yet another dramatic revelation of the way corporate self-congratulation is puffed as "news".) Since it looked like spamvertising, my inclination was just to zap it, but somebody more experienced, patient (and wise) than I removed my "Speedy Delete" recommendation. So I've stripped it of the blatant self-promotion and a lot of the vaguely impressive but near-meaningless polysyllables. (I'd still prefer to kill it though. If any admin wishes to do so, he/she needn't apologize to me -- quite the reverse.) Hoary 01:56, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)

CMP Media's web sites[edit]

CMP Media operates a number of interesting websites including TechWeb, InformationWeek, ChannelWeb and EETimes.com. I've found these sites to be very useful and reliable in regards to their content, decent resources. Being new to wikipedia, I'm not familiar with the rules of this site but was wondering if discussion in regards to these specific sites was allowed or if it would violate any promotion policy?

Corrected a trademark on InformationWeek[edit]

I changed "Information Week" to "InformationWeek," which is the correct name of the magazine.

company changed name, what's the protocol for starting a new page and redirecting?
