Vandels[edit]

Can strange people stop editing SEGA pages, lying about what consoles the games are released on? I see this a lot and it's more odd than annoying. Game Over[edit]

Dubious[edit]

The header for this article contains this quote: "The unique selling point of Sega Rally was the ability to drive on different surfaces (including asphalt, gravel and mud), with different friction properties, with the car's handling changing accordingly. As the first racing game to incorporate this feature, Sega Rally is considered to be one of the milestones in the evolution of the racing game genre." The citation is attributed to Guinness World Records: Gamer's Edition 2009, page 103. I think that it is false to claim that Sega Rally Championship is the first video game to alter a vehicle's handling on different terrain. As far back as 1977, the game "Indy 500" for the Atari 2600 featured levels with icy roads, and the handling of the car changed to simulate driving in icy conditions. A more recent example (and still before Sega Rally Championship) is "Over Top for the Neo Geo. I'm sure that many more examples of this gameplay mechanic can be found. I suspect the issue is not that the Guinness World Records is wrong, but that either you or the editor who added the info misunderstood what the source is saying. Does the handling actually change when you drive on icy roads in Indy 500, or do you simply lose control of the vehicle when you hit an icy patch, which is how most racing games of the time handled ice?--Martin IIIa (talk) 12:33, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Add a section about the Japan exclusive expanded version Sega Rally Championship Plus[edit]

I don't know if anyone is gonna see this but I am surprised that there is no mention of the expanded Plus version that was exlsuive to Japan aside from being mentioned in the release date box but that is the only mention.
