Again, welcome! —Guanaco 22:11, 1 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Raina, people's issues about your remarks in Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Non-violent child discipline were probably well-intentioned, but ill-advised. They probably didn't know you were new to this (we don't hear a lot from actual newbies on Vfd, and we do get a certain amount of "sock puppet" activity, enough to make some people suspicious by default). You can almost certainly prevent this problem in the future by signing your comments in the standard way. At the tail end of your comment, just write ~~~~. That will put your user name & a date stamp, and no one will mistake you for an anonymous user who doesn't get a vote.

Welcome & I hope you keep contributing. Don't be discouraged by the fact that someone proposed to delete your article: the clear consensus is moving toward keeping, with some edits. -- Jmabel 02:54, Jul 6, 2004 (UTC)

If you want to bring your credibility up another notch, write a little about yourself at User:Raina (which should remove any suspicions that you are a sock puppet!).
Do remember in writing articles: this is not about duelling polemics, nor is it a how-to manual. Material stating (preferably with citation) that such-and-such authority holds such-and-such opinion will rarely be deleted. Personal opinion without such citation usually will, unless someone else has the patience to clean it up. -- Jmabel 05:46, Jul 6, 2004 (UTC)

Hi Raina, welcome to Wikipedia. Enjoyed reading your talk page. Here are some glitches:

  • recouperate can be changed to recuperate
  • while mentioning names of books, movies, etc., use italics, although its fine for a User page I guess
  • The Charlie Chaplin movie is The Great Dictator

You can also have a look at Wikipedia:Glossary in order to understand the terms some people on Wikipedia keep throwing about. Jay 14:29, 6 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Raina, I'm one of the contributors to the Spanking page and I must say I was very pleased that you decided to revert your changes. It takes a strong person to admit they're wrong - and I know because I'm exceptionally strong!!! Please keep adding to this article. I would really appreciate more detailed anti-spanking arguments - especially any arguments against classical conditioning (I wrote that part and yes, I, spank my child for that reason). Keep up the good work. One Salient Oversight 23:17, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)

English[edit]

Hi. Please disambiguate English on your user page. For example, English. Thanks. RedWolf 02:52, Sep 3, 2004 (UTC)

Charles Parham[edit]

Did you write the Charles Fox Parham article? Coffeeboy 19:19, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I started it, and many have added to it. Raina 01:56, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

When you wrote the article, did you note the sources that you used? I think it would be good to include those in the article. Not making a value judgement either way, in case you're wondering. Roodog2k 17:42, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You[edit]

It's glad to know someone agrees with me in Wikipedia. Thanks for backin' me up on the ethnic slurs discussion page.

Little context in Ezekiel's Temple[edit]

A tag has been placed on Florence L. Crawford requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
