Image copyrights[edit]

The Game makes his money off his music. His music is promoted by publicity shots his label makes of him, including CD covers. The more those pictures are shown, the more people know of him. The more people know of him, the more records he sells. Therefore, it's in his and any other artist's best interest to let us use PR photos in articles.

On the other hand, photo companies like the Associated Press and WireImage make their money with photos (and news articles for AP). Showing one of their photos on Wikipedia isn't allowed.

Finally, TV/movie/video game screenshots like this one you uploaded (Image:Cheangeofheart.jpg) are perfectly fine under US fair use law.

So, I've had to delete a lot of the pictures you put up. Don't be discouraged, just try and look for PR photos and screenshots in the future. If you need any help with this or anything else, I'm happy to help anytime you need, just go to my user talk page. -- user:zanimum user_talk:zanimum

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Cheangeofheart.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cheangeofheart.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
