Archived copy of deletion debate for this article; consensus was to merge with his school

...so I guess we should also be removing articles on their founders --Rlandmann 04:34, 18 Jul 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete & merge: However the debate goes on the school he founded, his notability is that he did it. Long serving school masters, no matter how benign, get no entry. Were we to allow the school founding as notability, we'd get in every Bob and Bobby who opened a car lot. Geogre 13:07, 18 Jul 2004 (UTC)
    • Rhymeless is right: the material should be included in the school entry, if it stays, or the school info would be in this, if it stays. (High schools stay, so I'm figuring that it will be the survivor.) Geogre 17:18, 18 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Hmmm, a toughie. If the article on the school stays, probably merge and redirect. Exploding Boy 15:42, Jul 18, 2004 (UTC)
  • I'm not as sure, myself. I might like to see it kept, tho Geogre's comment gives me a bit of a start; it could easily be seen as precedent, and even I'm not *that* inclusionary. Though if that is deemed impossible, it certainly deserves a merge with the school page. However, his last name deserves capitalisation. Rhymeless 16:48, 18 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete as non-notable. If we keep Redeemer Lutheran College, merge this article's content with it first. --Ardonik 17:19, Jul 18, 2004 (UTC)
  • Agree with above—merged and redirect if school article kept. Postdlf 02:56, 19 Jul 2004 (UTC)
