  • I removed the cleanup tag, as it seems pretty good now. I also renamed the section for external links. Bearian 21:17, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was left with the question of, if you find yourself out of information on your report, what are some steps you can take to help you find information?

Introduction to America is not correct[edit]

There is a brief subsection in the article's History section entitled Birth as a discipline in the U.S. which describes it as Rudolf Schlesinger's professorial appointment to Cornell in 1948.

I propose that this subsection be removed for a couple of reasons. Most importantly, the "fact" stated under its heading is incorrect. The Annual Bulletin of the Comparative Law Bureau included in its mandate academic research in this topic. It was published regularly in the USA by the American Bar Association from 1908 (one year before before Rudolf Schlesinger was born). On this topic, David S. Clark (President of the American Society of Comparative Law) stated that "Sustained scholarly activity commenced in 1904" [1]. Furthermore, it seems rather parochial to provide the mechanism and background of the discipline's introduction to only one country (even if it were corrected). The subject did not profoundly change due to its American arrival from France at the beginning of the 20th century. Wikipedia is not limited to an American viewpoint. Of course I am glad that Rudolf Schlesinger escaped the horrors of Nazi Germany (he was Jewish and half-American). I certainly recognize and do not wish to minimize his considerable contribution to this field, but it was taught at 25 American University Colleges of Law before he started teaching.

I'll be using this website to expose the worst human beings in all of those humans alive and dead. You're a waste of breath, but I forgive you. You didn't know God made earth with heaven on mind. You're all the very reasons for Gods 10 Commandments. Pray for your souls the 2nd coming of christ has come and the resurrection has taken place. I seen it with my own eyes on July 04, 2021. Or should I say July 04, 12021. Rishelle Hartman (talk) 18:08, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
