S6W reactor power output[edit]

According to the MIT article previously cited [1], the reactor has a thermal output of 220MW and a shaft power output of 57000shp. However, an article from Global Security [2] states that the S6W has a thermal output of 270MW and a shaft power output of 52000shp. Currently, I’ve continued to use the figures from the MIT article while adding the Global Security article’s information on the steam turbines. Nevertheless, I would like some input on how to reconcile these two conflicting sources. Thanks! (note that the propulsion information is on a separate template Template:Seawolf-class submarine propulsion, which is where I made my edits and future edits should be made. Should probably go with just the MIT source, (and/or a new source), as Global Security has been, or is in the process of being, deprecated as an unreliable source. - wolf 03:36, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I see. I wasn’t aware of the RFC before, but in this case, it would probably be wise to go with the MIT source for now. Thanks! Liu1126 (talk) 06:07, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
