List[edit]

I've added a list of all the trade unions in the TUC to the page. Saul Taylor 04:46, 21 Jan 2004 (UTC)

University and College Union[edit]

Ought the entries for NATFHE and the AUT not now be replaced by a single one for UCU? 194.80.54.155 11:53, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

They don't need to be replaced, the NATFHE and AUT articles are now historical articles. --Bookandcoffee 15:31, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The number of members needs to be precisely mentioned - "about 6.5 million" is not very encyclopedic.Johncmullen1960 (talk) 05:06, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

TUC formed in 1868, not 1860s'[edit]

The TUC was formed in 1868, after trade councils were formed in glasgow, sheffield, liverpool, edinburgh and london between 1858-1867 see Marcel van der linden, 2003, Transnational labour History, p.18

van der linden is one of the biggest authorities on european labour history by the way
