Small updates[edit]

Hi editors, I had a couple of small updates to request for the article.

First, can we update the board of directors? Several people currently listed have since left. The updated list is:

  • Helge Lund (chairman)
  • Bernard Looney (chief executive officer)
  • Murray Auchincloss (chief financial officer)
  • Paula Rosput Reynolds (senior independent director)
  • Amanda Blanc (independent non-executive director)
  • Pamela Daley (independent non-executive director)
  • Melody Meyer (independent non-executive director)
  • Tushar Morzaria (independent non-executive director)
  • Hina Nagarajan (independent non-executive director)
  • Satish Pai (independent non-executive director)
  • Karen Richardson (independent non-executive director)
  • John Sawers, GCMG (independent non-executive director)
  • Johannes Teyssen (independent non-executive director)
  • Ben Mathews (company secretary)[1]

Second, can we make note of a new rig in the United States section? In April 2023 bp launched a rig called the Argos in the Gulf of Mexico.[2]

Finally, in the same section, could we make note that bp sold its remaining stake in the Toledo refinery? Sources in reference format follow.[3][4][5]

Of note, that last source is a press release. I'm including it to show that the sale did happen and when it happened.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Like Arturo I won't make any changes myself because of my COI. Thanks. Vishal BP (talk) 11:01, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Go ahead: I have reviewed these proposed changes and suggest that you go ahead and make the proposed changes to the page. Lightoil (talk) 02:30, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for reviewing this Lightoil. I'm going to hold off on making the edits myself. Extensive conversations in the past have recommended time and again that bp's rep wait for other editors to make the changes rather than have them make the changes themselves, and I'm not comfortable changing up that pattern. I really appreciate you taking the time to look though. Vishal BP (talk) 09:00, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have made these small updates after permission was given by Lightoil on this Talk page and their User Talk page, and from CNMall41 at WikiProject Companies. Please feel free to give my changes another look and edit them as necessary. Thanks for the encouragement here. Vishal BP (talk) 09:21, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Dormskirk: thanks for fixing that accidental deletion. Vishal BP (talk) 09:51, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Mossadeq[edit]

Hello. I can't seem to find any sources that spell Mohammad Mosaddegh's name like "Mossadeq". Is this a typo, or a British form of spelling it? Stick34 (talk) 05:55, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

CEO update[edit]

Hi editors, I had a small request to update the article. Currently, it says in the Management section that Murray Auchincloss is the acting CEO. The "acting" portion of his title was dropped in January, as supported by this BBC article. Would someone be willing to change that, and add a sentence to the History section noting that Auchincloss became CEO in January 2024, similar to what has been done for other leadership changes? I have a COI so would prefer not to make changes myself. I'd really appreciate it. Vishal BP (talk) 10:29, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Dormskirk (talk) 10:36, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Dormskirk: thanks! I noticed it also said Auchincloss is interim CEO in the infobox of the Bernard Looney article, would you be willing to make an update there as well? I'd really appreciate it. Either way, thank you. Vishal BP (talk) 10:09, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
