evidently created as the year Taiwan celebrates 200-year anniversary of independence. Unverifiable anniversary (prediction), and IMHO factually wrong to boot, because it implies Taiwan became independent in 1949. (Disclaimer: I have no vested interests in relations between Taiwan / RoC and the PRC and do not wish to become embroiled in a discussion on such). --Ianb 18:38, 31 Jul 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete: The whole Taiwan thing is irrelevant: It's a year listing for a year that hasn't happened yet. We've set long precedent for deleting such 'let me write this event in now, because I may not remember to do it in the year 2219' articles. Geogre 21:27, 31 Jul 2004 (UTC)
