Concensus[edit]

Isn't it another name for concensus (of mutual interest) ? What we present as soft power for years is just the promise of the slap, and the guarantee the actor will get it no matter what if he doesn't comply. This notion should be updated.

Originally it s the benefice of a mutual culture or goal over self-interest, but now ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.208.11.146 (talk) 11:31, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Including China's soft power rankings in China sub-section[edit]

Creating this talk section because an editor reverted my changes. I had included the soft power rankings of China in the China section - the same rankings that are already cited in the lead section. I've listed the same rankings in the China soft power Wiki page, and nobody there raised any objection.

The reason given for the removal was "Reinstating sourced edition". However, that content is already well sourced! These rankings are considered important and often cited in the media too.

I suggest that it be included in the China section of this page. Honoredebalzac345 (talk) 20:44, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I restored your text describing the US as the only soft power superpower. That edit is good, sourced to the Brand Finance PDF. Looks that material got caught in the cross-hairs of a different edit war. Binksternet (talk) 23:15, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Although do you mean my text on China rankings? I didn't add the US soft power superpower statement, it was already there. Honoredebalzac345 (talk) 09:33, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

India[edit]

They are few errors in india section on the example of soft power.First of all most of the mathematical contribution done by india didn't had their origin in India. For example concept trigonometry, geometry and algebra was first developed by ancient Greeks, astronomy has its origin in Babylon. If you have any problem with it check the Wiki page of history of algebra, geometry, trigonometry etc.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Obiwana (talkcontribs) 13:57, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
