Marriage[edit]

I didn't specify the date of her marriage to Laurence Fishburne because of the lack of definitive evidence. Various internet sites place the date at either September 20 or 22 of 2002, while IMDb.com sets it at September 29, 2002. --xjaymanx 22:15, 22 Jul 2004 (UTC)

M.A.N.T.I.S.[edit]

Gina starred in the show pilot, parts 1 and 2. 1994 I believe. Episodes can be seen on <Fancast.com> Jimbcool (talk) 01:07, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Better sources needed[edit]

All the sources about Torres' work in DC Universe are too poor to be used in a BLP. . --Lexein (talk) 15:55, 12 November 2013 (UTC) (the following was moved here from my talk page --Lexein (talk) 20:21, 12 November 2013 (UTC))[reply]

I agree with you about the article I added that was dated 2012 so I deleted it but if you look at the link I added http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qxf6bUKpaDk, it is a video with Jens Anderson, the developer of DCUO, talking about the new DLC and he specifically talks about the fact that Gina Torres was replaced by Susan Eisenberg and all of her dialog was re recorded with Susan's voice. So Yes, that is a Recasting of the character previously voiced by TorresTheycallmetheDoctor (talk) 19:56, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Good. It's an official video, so it's potentially the best source so far. I see it happened at the 4:20 (!) mark. In future, can you note the minute mark where specifics are mentioned - that's a recommended practice when citing video or film. See {{cite media}}. Thx. --Lexein (talk) 20:21, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Firefly navbox[edit]

I assume consensus is to include the {{Firefly}} navbox. Discuss? --Lexein (talk) 19:02, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with you that it should be allowed to stay. it was a bogus edit. he claimed that WP:BIDIRECTIONAL states "no actors in navbox" when in fact is says nothing of the sort. Sarty72 (talk) 20:42, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No actors in navboxes per Wikipedia:WikiProject Actors and Filmmakers/Consensus summaries. Therefore navbox doesn't belong here per WP:BIDIRECTIONAL. --Rob Sinden (talk) 21:22, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Wrong. TV series, not film. Sorry. --Lexein (talk) 21:30, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That's not a rationale. It makes no difference whether it's a TV series or a film, there is consensus against including actors and acting roles in navboxes. Let's centralise discussion on your talk page, where the conversation first started. --Rob Sinden (talk) 21:37, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Please see discussion at Template talk:Firefly#Actors in navboxes. However, as currently the actors are not included, per WP:BIDIRECTIONAL we do not transclude navboxes onto article pages that are not linked in the template. --Rob Sinden (talk) 09:43, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ethnicity[edit]

I believe she self identifies as Afro-Cubano. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:989:4203:2A00:ED64:7535:9FC8:1CBF (talk) 02:57, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wanted to add, how is there no mention of her Afro/African/Black heritage? She is a Afro-Latina icon.
