FOJ[edit]

Would it violate NPOV to add a list of alleged FOJs? Juppiter 18:39, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)

They have been cited in soap press, like with columnist Carolyn Hinsey (who is also the executive editor of Soap Opera Digest), so I figure if someone in the business itself is writing about it, it should be here. For example, like you know, the "focus groups" bit was reported by Hinsey and others in magazines. Mike H 18:10, Sep 11, 2004 (UTC)

Balance[edit]

There really does need to have some semblance of a balance in this article. I know I wrote most of the "accusations", but this has now become the entire article, and I think it would only be fair to her to mention the good things she has done, most notably being at the helm for Emmy wins at Santa Barbara. I added some strengths. What do you think? --JamesB3 03:02, 28 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Very good. I think it adequately addresses the balance issue. Thanks! :-) Mike H 18:13, Jan 4, 2005 (UTC)

I was curious regarding the statemenet at the end,"glory days from AW." Do you consider her time at AW her glory days because she had complete control? I'm just curious. Many AW viewers consider Jill Farren Phelps to be a contributor to AW downfall. Some go as far as to say her tenure on AW made the show the worst it ever was. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mscooter25 (talkcontribs) 06:09, 5 June 2006

Darn I see all the JFP criticism is gone now. Oh well it was always a fun read of what that witch does! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Loser user (talkcontribs) 05:57, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the second and third subsections of the 'Controversies' section as they were unsourced criticism of a living person, which violates WP:BLP. Please do not re-add this material without references to reliable sources. Robofish (talk) 22:23, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Block voting[edit]

I was surprised there was no mention of block voting, a technique Phelps created to help her show win Emmys (by, if I remember correctly, organizing the entire ballot-receiving staff to vote together). Is it an issue of finding a source? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.54.4.94 (talk) 20:05, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The Soap Killer[edit]

Very surprised that wasn’t mentioned because that’s what everyone in the soap world calls her. Pookerella (talk) 04:19, 29 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I think you know we rely on reliable sources and not forum posts. If "everyone" calls her that then you should have no trouble finding a reliable source saying as much.— TAnthonyTalk 16:48, 30 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
