Intel Core 2[edit]

Hi, could you revert 24.127.111.166's edits in the Intel Core 2 article? He changed the X6800's release date to 'already released', which is simply not the case. Conroe's official release date is July 27, the fact that a few online retailers have chosen to release the X6800 early does not change the fact that the release date is the 27th. Paddington Bear[edit]

Hi, thanks for correcting the ref links. I attempted to do it correctly but I am not entirely familiar with the wiki ref system yet; the embedded link was the first I'd learnt. The article had none that I could conform too either. I am keen to clean up the article (it is pretty poor quality at the moment) as my first personal wiki "project". I appreciate your corrections and please drop me a note if you can suggest a good way of referencing a single site (the Paddington Bear official site) multiple times. Cheers

I originally reverted your edits because you included this sentence: "Once the DVD Forum has approved the final specification, Toshiba will test the new "Trip-Layer" discs with existing HD DVD hardware to determine if it is compatible." Which is not supported by any reference. In fact its false, as now is when the official player compatibility testing begins, and once its done they will approve the final spec (if any changes are needed). But to get to my other point even preliminary specs are valid parts of the specification, just as Blu-ray launched without 50GB disks, it did not keep us from saying they had them in the spec (Although for all we know it was a preliminary spec, as the BDA is very closed about such things). --Ray andrew 15:08, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I see the quote in BetaNews, sorry for the revert, it just flew in the face of everything else that I have herd. All the insiders I have herd from said that the unofficial testing already showed they worked and the "official test" was now underway. Hi Zcbeaton, while I realise that for YouGov polls it has been common practice to link directly to the PDF tables, I do not think that this is the option that serves our readers best. As I explained in the edit summary, the article on the YouGov website provides analysis of the results and puts them into context. I believe this is information that many readers would find useful in understanding the data. For anyone who wants to read the full PDF tables (and I am one), they are simply a click away. Of course, the converse is not true: if we link to the PDF tables, there is no easy way for our readers to access the analysis from the pollster as it is not linked from the PDF tables. My home wiki is Russian Wikipedia where I want to someday become administrator, but first, I need to become patroller (reviewer). In Russian Wikipedia, before RfA, it is preferred to also get a right to delete pages (a technical name of a flag is «closer» because users with this flag have a right to close some deletion discussions). In English Wikipedia, some deletion discussions can be closed by any registered user but only administrators can delete pages, while in Russian Wikipedia, users who can't delete pages may not close deletion discussions (the only exemption is nominator withdrawal). @Celjski Grad Happy to help :) The template pages themselves should give you a good idea how they work: {{LSR}} and {{LPR}}. To add the info that shows up in the infobox, I created {{Latest stable software release/visionOS}} and {{Latest preview software release/visionOS}}.
