Instruments[edit]

It says up here fred plays piano and guitar, but I've never seen him play and instrument of any kind other than vocals. In fact, the only guitar video i've seen so far of him is this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MI-_jWAmlE this isn't satirical, i'm actually curious as to why he listed other than vocals. 50.159.80.156 (talk) 09:26, 27 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Somebody removed the piano, perhaps years ago. I removed "musician" from his lead sentence today because it still sure doesn't define him. But if somebody buys a ticket to hear you make mouth sounds and you break out a fingering machine (electrified or otherwise), even rarely and not so goodly, you're still technically a professional player, so left his poor guitar gently weeping in the infobox. Bad gets worse[edit]

The entire Woodstock 1999 section of this article is derailed by reports of sexual violence and rape, as though the rest of the event was pristine. Also, 100% of the "reportage" is skewed to make this reprehensible person look like a folk hero.
The actions of those who have been "moderating" this page is paradigmatic of those who enable and empower such as Durst, Korn, and the rest of crypto-fascist culture.
p.s. you people didn't just ruin Woodstock. Since then you also social media, what we created as "web weaving" in the late 1970s.
p.s.2 I learned bass playing along with Jack Bruce and Cream. I saw Hendrix and Zepp live. "Who are you" ... really? BenTrem (talk) 23:56, 4 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Birthplace[edit]

This is the only place on the internet that says Fred Durst has lived or even existed in Lake City, FL. Where is a source for that? I don't want to be known as someone who grew up in the same town as Fred Durst. It ruins all of my credibility as a musician. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.153.7.7 (talk) 06:05, 22 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fact is truth. Look at the non-entries on this page. Of course the children who moderate Wikipedia and the rest of society will always cover for the villains, so I am not allowed to write this: Fred Durst completed what Korn had begun the night before at Woodstock 1999. And that entire generation is so shamed that it's hard to tell if they are literate or not. Nixon => Korn / Limp Bizkit => Trump. Welcome to social causality, folkz. Censored profanity in the article[edit]

I noticed various profanities in the article censored with pound symbols. What's the point of doing that, exactly? 2601:346:B00:BB00:D95B:ACCE:FE09:5DF0 (talk) 23:46, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

early life is a mess[edit]

especially the early life section is a mess with events jumping up and down the timeline and things like "when he left the navy" coming out of left field. this article would need some restructuring imvho. 84.215.194.30 (talk) 00:25, 26 February 2023 (UTC) Let's decide which points are relevant and which are not when it comes to revision. The page on Fred Durst may need revision, but let us not heap too much scorn on one individual. Remember that living people have personality rights and the same applies to people who have passed away, because the executors of their estate(s) may be litigious also. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:6000:C305:78DF:B7CF:F0F7:2761:16F8 (talk) 02:34, 30 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
