Welcome!

Hello, Avaiki, Welcome to Wikipedia!
I hope you like working here and want to continue. If you need help on how to name new articles, look at the Guide to layout, and for help on formatting the pages visit the Manual of Style. If you need general help, look at Help and the FAQ, and if you can't find your answer there, check the Village pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions). There's still more help at the Tutorial and the Policy Library. Also, don't forget to visit the Community Portal — and if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my New-Users' Talk Page.
Additional tips:
Here are some extra tips to help you get around Wikipedia:
  • If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills, try the Sandbox.
  • Click on the Edit button on a page, and look at how other editors did what they did.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes, like this: ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Always sign comments on Talk pages, never sign Articles.
  • You might want to add yourself to the New User Log
  • If your first language isn't English, try Wikipedia:Contributing to articles outside your native language
  • Full details on Wikipedia style can be found in the Manual of Style.
Happy editing!

"index.php"[edit]

I guess since you were able to post the problem report that this is an intermittent error. Can you tell what web browser it occurs in, and if there are any obvious circumstances where it does/doesn't happen? --tiny plastic Grey Knight 14:17, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies for the delay in replying ... the intermittent error has been non-intermittent in Firefox 3 on a MacBook since then. I am now working out of Safari which seems to be working for the moment, but I have experienced this across browsers, computers, and even countries! In this case, New Zealand and the Cook Islands.

No obvious circumstances, it seems to happen clicking through directly, or, using the apple button to open links in new tabs or windows, or, on a PC (I'm an OS ho) using ctrl to open in a new tab, etc, etc. Will attempt to pay closer attention but sufficiently strange to warrant some comment at this stage.

thanks for your attention - wasn't sure where to put this, so left it here?

If you reply on my talk page, I will see it the fastest. :-) It looks like this is an intermittent problem in Firefox; could you please do something to help me figure out what's happening? Please put in the Live HTTP Headers add-on for Firefox ("Installation" on their menu). Then, the next time you see this happen, right-click the page, select "View Page Info", and email me with what's on the "Headers" tab. Apparently some web proxies and/or security software is the suspected culprit... I'll see what I can find out for you. You can email me that screenshot as well if you like (although I think I know what's on it by this stage!). --tiny plastic Grey Knight 07:29, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and red links indicate uncreated pages. Clicking one takes you to the edit box automatically, which is via index.php and hence you might run into this problem when visiting them. --tiny plastic Grey Knight 12:19, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi[edit]

I saw on your blog that you are interested by the Affaire JPK. There was a good investigative reporting on french TV a couple of weeks ago on the subject. You can watch it at this address, but you need to understand french.

I've heard there was a bit of controversy at Tahiti about the reporting after it was broadcasted on RFO few days later.

Kia ora na Jason[edit]

Very interesting article and your understanding of french with your 3D approach seems to be very good. The best online french-english and english-french dictionary for specific, technical or old vocabulary is I think this one [1] You will even find the meaning of words such "argentier" in reference to your article on the subject [2] :)

I've heard you used to work for the Cook Islands News. You should write if you have time some articles on Cook islands political history on Wikipedia. I did some in the french one, but due to a lack of informations I am afraid I did sometime some few errors, particularly for the period 1999-2004, which seems to have been a bit messy. If you could ask to your Cook islands News colleagues to add their archives online, it would be very helpful. Kia Manuia/Fa'aitoto. Laurent Nevers (talk) 11:31, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I believe you, but there is no reference in OECD nor an article at Paris Agreement. Could you insert, with sources, a note in OECD? (I'm a year-watcher.) — Arthur Rubin (talk) 12:25, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 02:51, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Clearstream[edit]

Hi Avaiki. I can suggest you mock up the new clear stream article somewhere - maybe here:

User_talk:Avaiki/Clearstream

Copy and paste from the previous histories of the articles, getting the parts you feel are good. When you have finished copy your temporary article across to the real article. Feel free to ask me any questions on my talk page.
