These species still need listings:

  • Dwarf Orange Bulborb
  • Bulborb Larvae

Could someone review this edit - [1]. It was made by an anonymous editor who was vandalizing another page at the same time, and I have no clue as to whether this is a valid edit or not. Zoe 08:24, August 8, 2005 (UTC)

Someone removed it. And I can't find couldn't find the word "mochers" in any dictionary... perhaps mild vandalization... but it's gone now. Supercubedude 17:25, 29 December 2005 (UTC) Supercubedude[reply]

I don't belive it was vadalism. He meant to say "moochers", as in, the Snowy Bulborbs pretended to be Dwarf Hairy Bulborbs in order to get food. Explodingdog 00:57, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Renaming?[edit]

Should this article be renamed? Not all of these creatures are necassarily enemies of Pikmin, especially the spectralids and honeywisps, but even without those, I was just thinking there might be a more accurate name, like 'Wildlife of Pikmin,' or 'Creatures in Pikmin.' Well, I can't really think of anything good, but if any one wants to change the name... This unsigned comment added by 70.245.224.2 at 21:04, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

Perhaps. I have given up on improving the page, all I do is make sure no one vandlaizes it. Can anonymous users move pages? If not, I'll move it myself. I rather like 'Wildlife of of Pikmin,' myself. RyanGerbil10 (Drop on in!) 22:08, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I have an account now, but it says I'm too new... So, I can't do it myself. I guess we can rename it to 'Wildlife of Pikmin' now, if anyone else wants too.--Xoo 00:37, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Consider it done. RyanGerbil10 (Drop on in!) 01:59, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How about, Wildlife of the Pikmin Series? It sounds better.

Dwarf Bulbears[edit]

It says in the article that they have no relation to normal Bulbears. However, if you look at Olimars Piklopedia, it says that they are in fact Larva Bulbears. I think I might edit this unless someone tells me something that contradicts this.

Oh hang on, never mind. I hadnt checked that article for like a month. Its been corrected since last time.

Needs copyediting[edit]

I ran a lot of this through a spell check, but there remains a ton of spelling and grammatical errors. I'll let some Pikmin fan finish that task. Ifnord 02:57, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Done. I rewrote the article while flying back home. RyanGerbil10 23:49, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There's a lot of factual inaccuracy. I just played through Pikmin 1 in a 5 hour binge and this doesn't look all too correct, so I'm just gonna tweak some stuff.--64.148.24.147 20:57, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

True Names[edit]

Perhaps we should include the real names of these creatures (I already did the Real World stuff)? What I mean is, Olimar named them one thing, but their actuall name is something else. For example, the real name of the Spotty Bulborb (I prefer that name over Red Bulborb) is called the Greater Grub-Dog, and the Mamuta is called the God of All Pikmin. My personal favorite example is the Puffy Blowhog, which is Flotaswine. I'll get on it later...--Dreyfus 00:32, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Where on Earth did you find these names? In Pikmin, you have Spotty Bulborb who in Pikmin 2 becomes Red Bulborb... but I have never heard it called a Greater Grub-Dog. --Octavo 02:20, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think these name come from the pikmin 1 player guide.

I standarized all the names (Common name / Scientific Name), keeping in line with the Pikmin 2 Piklodpedia (and Pikmin 1 for unrepresented species). Do you guys think the family name should be included in the 'name' part, since species like the Anode Beetle don't yet have a family category (like Common Name / Family Name / Scientific Name? - aznmastermind5 4:37ET, October 3 2006

Titan Dweevil[edit]

Does anyone have a perfect picture of a Titan dweevil before and after having all of its weapons knocked off?

I could get one. ~Locke 01:24, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Like Flubber.[edit]

I think the waterwraith rsembles Flubber. You know. Flubber from the movie.

Sorry to say, but this isn't a forum. This is for discussing the article, not the game. ~Locke 01:25, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Strange Bees[edit]

I put in a section on the Strange Bees when I was new to Wiki, but I realize now that there are no reputable sources that mention them. Is this a problem in a video game article?

Oh, and as to the Titan Dweevil picture, I've got a digital camera, and the battle all cued up, I'll give it a shot later. --Kirby-oh 20:02, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Edit: It doesn't come out very well at all, even after 20 tries. :P

Gray wollywog?[edit]

The last time I saw a Wollywog it was white, not gray.

It's a whitish grey, but Pikmin 2's Piklopedia says it is grey, so that's how this article has it. --Kirby-oh 00:43, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I found from experience that the grey wollywog is more deadly than the yellow one: Grey kills pikmin easily in one hit, usually many at a time, while yellow only gets one in about 3 tries. ~Locke 01:28, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Smoky Progg[edit]

Shouldn't the Smoky Progg be listed under the the frog family, with Wollywogs and wogpoles?

Nope, just as the Waterwaith, Amphibio Sapiens, is not there, nor does the Smoky Progg. It's arranged by family, the Mauta's family is unknown, so both are in the Other Species section 71.193.214.26 03:44, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Man-at-Legs[edit]

I think it should be noted that the Man-At-Legs moves faster than the other spider creatures. The Man-At-Legs walks much faster than it's counterparts and dips it's head quickly as well. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by VicAndPhill (talkcontribs) 14:55, 8 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

It's really not that interesting, Beady moves faster than Raging, until disturbed, however, it is true and verifiable, so it's acceptable, I think. 71.193.214.26 03:44, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bulborb (Grub-Dog) Family[edit]

Shouldn't it just be "Grub-Dog Family"? Not all creatures in the Grub-Dog family are bulblorbs, and according to the Piklopedia they are all in the "Grub-Dog Family". ~Locke 01:47, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll agree with that. -Kirby-oh 18:48, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Red Bulborb OF.jpg[edit]

Image:Red Bulborb OF.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:13, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ending Sequence[edit]

In the Notes section, I keep seeing that some say "ending sequence". I've palyed both games, but I'm still confused. I did not unlock something? It get tempted to changed them to the Piklopedia, since most of this info comes form it. THROUGH FIRE, JUSTICE IS SERVED! 22:16, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Strange Bees?[edit]

Does anyone have proof of their existence? I've NEVER seen any such thing. General Banzai 21:50, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have. There's a great article on them at the Pikmin Wikia. http://pikmin.wikia.com/wiki/Secret_insects_at_the_Wistful_Wild -Kirby-oh 00:00, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I found them on accident before the Titan Dweevil on day 66.--Sonic,Pikachu,and Snorunt 23:54, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
