I don't understand the difference between "hydropenia" and "dehydration." Joyous 00:57, Mar 29, 2005 (UTC)

From what I can gather, it seems that dehydration is the act of removing losing water, whereas hydropenia is a state of the body such that the body does not have enough water in it. http://www.medilexicon.com/medicaldictionary.php?t=23371 maybe helps a bit. The third definition suggests that being dehydrated has been adopted to mean the same thing as being hyropenic, although that was not originally the case.

If anyone else has any suggestions, let me know. If not, I might edit this article to something to the effect above and hopefully I will anger someone who knows better enough to come in and correct it :) AndyHuston (talk) 17:18, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
