How to alphabetize?[edit]

Should "Fort San Cristobal" be listed under "F" for Fort, "S" for San, or "C" for Cristobal? "F" seem inappropriate. But deciding between "S" and "C" is more difficult. If I were listing saints, it would be by the proper name first (Cristobal, San). If I were listing cities, I would stick with the "San Cristobal" format. My best guess is to consider "San" to be part of a place name, and list it by "S".

Any thoughts?
