Talk to me, my people[edit]

Hi Zeromacnoo, I was wondering what you think of the template box as used in the Billy Brandt page? Though structure is nice, it doesn't add much in my opinion, and I don't really like it that the layout is so much influenced by the box. (in my opinion, just a larger box cover image in a frame looks better). Let me know what you thinkย ;-)

Your new additions look great by the way. We're really making progress!

Spheroide 17:59, 12 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm not really crazy about template boxes. The question is, do you want to spend time arguing about this with User:Daydream believer2, who I assume is attached to the idea, or spend your time creating new articles? I'd leave it alone. If he starts to add them to other articles, then let's talk to him about it, but otherwise I don't think it's worth it.
  • It is so much better creating new content here when I get to read articles written by others as well. I really enjoy your contributions. Zeromacnoo 18:05, 12 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. Let's just leave it for now. Spheroide 22:22, 12 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I took a look at the discussion on the autofellatio image you told me about. Indeed, neverending discussionย ;-) There is a clear statement about Wikipedia not being there to protect minors from possible harmful content in the What Wikipedia Is Not-page though, so I now think the image on the Simon Rex page is ok. I'll stick to DVD covers though, just to be sure.

A possible mass-deletion for all the gay porn actor articles is also one of my concerns. Indeed, the best way to prevent that is by just writing very good articles! And showing "they are all connected" in a true Wikipedia fashion by linking them where needed. Working on thatย ;-) A mass deletion would be really stupid, though, since a lot of these articles are interesting for a large group of people. These guys didn't become porn stars for nothing of course! Perfect material for Wikipedia, especially since this could become thรฉ #1 source of structured information if the subject of gay porn stars (and studios) in Wikipedia progresses further. It needs time and contributions of course. Bye!

P.s. I don't think you get a "new message" message when I reply to something you write to me on my own talk page do you? It would give a more structured talk maybe... Spheroide 21:25, 10 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. Great new adition, for Tag Adams, I didn't even know him until today. Ah the wonders of Wikipedia. The added image indeed gives the entire article a much better look, and happily DVD covers are allowed, as long as they are low res. I also followed your advice on the "List of pornographic movie studios", and have just added my new article on Cobra Video there. I think we should limit our images to the more "decent" ones. I think it's all fine as long as we don't put any hard penisses up thereย ;) Personally, I think the image in the article on Simon Rex, is just a little over the limit for an encyclopedia (even an encyclopedia starting to contain a lot of cool articles on porn stars)... What do you think?

Spheroide 18:47, 10 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Uhh... I just wrote "I think the new structure for list of male porn stars is much better", of course I should have written "I think the new structure for list of gay porn stars is much better". Oops.

Spheroide 19:37, 9 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. I think I'll add the Junior Studio article somewhere this week. I have to do some research first, since I have no idea if it is owned by Kevin Clarke / Richard Morgan or of they just work for it. Any idea?

I think the new structure for the list of male porn stars is much better. Especially the anchor letters at the top, very handy! It's gonna take us another 100 years to complete the list thoughย ;-)

Spheroide 19:31, 9 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanx for your help![edit]

Hi Zeromacnoo, thanx for helping me with edits on some of the gay porn star pages I created or edited lately. It's cool to have a feeling of not being alone in this part of the Wikipediaย ;-) Maybe one day we'll have all important/interesting gay male porn stars covered. For now, lot's of work still to be done!

p.s. I just added Brent Everett

Mark Wolff pic..[edit]

Hey there Zeromacnoo, Would it be Ok if I replace that DVD cover of Mark Wolff that you uploaded with this other low res one? The reason why is because this is of his most recent video and it shows him more prominently unlike the other cover. PLMK. Thanks.ย :)

Rex Chandler Help[edit]

Hey there. I noticed that you are one of the high up guys of porn star entries. I was wondering if you could possibly look at the Rex Chandler page I made and let me know if it is offensive or not. He is nude, but in a flaccid at ease pose. If you could moderate it to confirm if it is safe or not I would be very appreciative. Thanks!

Gay Romanian Porn[edit]

Hey..I liked ur articles..I ve started an article called Romanian Gay Porn...I watched some clips from Romanian gay movies..I dont know who produce them...Actors are generally brunette muscled hunks...

In one movie bottom one was wearing a mask...

Hi Zeromacnoo, thanks for ur reply. I had tried to add an article about "Romanian Gay Porn". I am interested in porn movies of romanian porn stars . They speak Romanian in the movies so I thought movies were produced in Romania. Do you have knowledge about romanian porn stars (i dont mean Ion Davidov)? and about these movies..who produce them?

Another one under attack[edit]

Hi, Zeromacnoo. I noticed you're concerned with deletionists going after adult oriented entries so I thought I'd bring this to your attention in the hope that you'll lend your support. After it was kept the first time, the List of Perfect 10 models has been put up for deletion a second time. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Perfect 10 models (second nomination) The claim is made that almost none of the models are notable, even though over 40 have their own Wikipedia entries. But far worse than that, it's being argued that since an un-named model sent an e-mail to an admin saying she didn't want to be listed, the WHOLE list should be deleted! If allowed to succeed, it'll mean that the same reason can be given to pre-emptively delete ANY adult oriented list whenever someone decides to pull it. --Alsayid 23:06, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Zeromacnoo: I am new to Wikipedia, and I have a very simple question. On the List of Gay Porn Stars, of the porn stars that do not appear in blue with a link to their Wikipedia article, why are some of the porn stars in red and invite you to write a Wikipedia article on them, and others are in black with no invitation to create an article? Who determines which porn stars appear in red type? Just wondering. RichardDKBaird 06:05, 17 May 2006 (UTC) --RichardDKBaird[reply]

Tristan Paris?[edit]

Hi Zeromacnoo, I was going through the porn stub list and noticed an article on a gay porn star, Tristan Paris. Since this is your area of expertise, perhaps you may know whether or not we should {{prod}}/{{afd}} this article or not. It's obviously sparse and has no references of any kind. Your knowledge and help would be appreciated! Thanks! -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 23:50, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Young Physique Magazine[edit]

WHY did you remove my reference to Young Physique magazine? It is important that people know about this magazine. It was the most important gay magazine of the 1960's. Also, in my opinion, models look more sexy when they are wearing g-strings than when they are simply naked. RichardDKBaird 06:23, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You said "Please feel free to add any information or additional titles that you may have" in your entry on the List of Gay Pornographic Magazines discussion page: Zeromacnoo 18:26, 15 Feb 2005 (UTC).

So again, WHY did you remove my reference to Young Physique magazine? RDKB

  • Oops! I am so sorry! I did that by mistake. I have now restored your description. Please accept my apology. I am glad you caught my mistake. I must slow down when I edit so that I don't do things like that again. Keep up the great work. Zeromacnoo 23:41, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Erik Rhodes[edit]

Hey, I've recently created an article for Erik Rhodes, and apparently, there was an actor by the same name in the 1930s. I created a disambiguation page to distinguish them, and made a search for Erik Rhodes link to the disambiguation page. This has upset someone, who has requested that the actor's page be moved to the default under the theory that the actor is more notable. I disagree; I think the porn star is at least as notable as the actor from the 1930s. I see your name across quite a few of the porn pages, and was wondering if you had any opinion to voice on the notability of Mr. Rhodes? I would appreciate any help that you have to offer. --Todd 07:12, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have no problem with the porn star page being added, if indeed it is deemed notable, what I object to is that SneakyTodd moved the actor from his existing page to Erik Rhodes (actor). This disabled numerous existing links. The guideline that I have seen in the past is to put a link at the top of the original page to the new page or to a disambiguation page when there are several, instead of just one more person of the same name, leaving the original article in place. The other question that I have, if this an area of your expertise, is the numerous links to commercial sites on the porn stars page. It was my understanding that these commercial links were not to be used. Doc 08:53, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Falcon Enterntainment[edit]

I've added a copy of the page to User:Zeromacnoo/Falcon. A few words however, saying that "Some people believe that nothing the in the world of gay porn deserves an article on Wikipedia for reasons of prudishness, but they must be reminded that Wikipedia is not censored" is not called for. The article was deleted because it looked like an advertisement. There is no need to make uncivil claims about "prudishness" nor a need to remind anyone that Wikipedia's censorship policies when they are marking things under standard deletion criteria. JoshuaZ 21:25, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I guess I didn't look hard enough for what happened to the Falcon article. I created a stub replacement for it, and one of the people that speedy deleted the original is now attempted to delete the stub article I created for lack of notability, and because it is currently just a placeholder article. Notability of Vladimir Correa[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Vladimir Correa, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Vladimir Correa seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Vladimir Correa, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. An article you created is about to be deleted: Tools which can help you[edit]

The article you created, Dano_Sulik is about to be deleted from Wikipedia.

There is an ongoing debate about whether your article should be deleted here:

The faster your respond, the better chance the article you created can be saved. This is because deletion debates only stay open for a few days, and the first comments are usually the most important.

There are several tools and other editors who can help you keep the page from being deleted forever:

  1. You can list the page up for deletion on Article Rescue Squadron. If you need help listing your page, add a comment on the Article Rescue Squadron talk page.
  2. You can request a mentor to help explain to you all of the complex rules that editors use to get a page deleted, here: Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User. But don't wait for a mentor to respond on the deletion page.
  3. When try to delete a page, veteran editors love to use a lot of rule acronyms. Don't let these acronyms intimidate you.
Here is a list of your own acronyms you can use yourself: WP:Deletion debate acronyms which may support the page you created being kept.
Acronyms in deletion debates are sometimes incorrectly used, or ignore rules or exceptions.
  4. You can merge the article into a larger article.

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Hans Mueller, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No assertion of notability

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion of Adam Hart[edit]

Please do not make personal attacks. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thanks for uploading File:Northern exposures va dvd.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
