Postwar operations[edit]

Removed reference to the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie "Commando". The plane featured in the movie is a G-21 Goose, not a Widgeon, specifically N143DF, which can be seen at http://www.g73s39s44online.htmlplanet.com/custom3.html. Note the variations in the nose and the rounder tail design. Also, plane has radial engines, and known records of N143DF indicate it to be a Goose. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.205.137.15 (talk) 01:28, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola[edit]

I can find no reference to a G-44 on display at the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida.Ken keisel (talk) 16:28, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The airplane is a J4F-1, V212 cn 1260 (the USCG version) and is hanging from the ceiling. Former civilian registrations include : N743, N2770A, N324BC and N212ST (current).

Apparently this model is the plane used for Fantasy Island. Something should be written about it, since it's a prominent usage and most likely the most famous usage of this type. 76.66.197.30 (talk) 05:19, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The characteristics are of G-44, not G-44A. Ranger engine was installed in G-44, but G-44A had radial Lycoming R-680 engines. 91.76.44.120 (talk) 16:51, 10 April 2013 (UTC)Burunduk[reply]
