It's going to be more helpful if you help identify what material was taken from the book. Adding it to the bottom of each page doesn't really help a whole lot. It does achieve basic intellectual honesty which is better than nothing, but not enough. - Taxman Talk 18:00, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well, that's a good point, footnotes or endnotes are preferable to bibliographies. I will get around to citing chapters and pages as my last act, but not in the next several days, as I have other things to do. And your are right, it is certainly more intellectual honesty than one typically finds around here, where literally thousands of insertions are made each day with no citations or sources whatsoevdr. I have little doubt that you are personally earnest in your desire to create a good work, but I am equally convniced it is a hopeless exercise, but one that undoubtedly gives you and others pleasure. My fear is that this venue and approach, given its prominence on search engines, also results in compounded factual errors and, what is worse, damage to reputations.
