iirc holland is only part of the netherlands though the name is often incorrectly used for the whole contry. does anyone know which is more correct here. Plugwash 14:47, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

It's a province in the Netherlands. But we used to call the country Holland until the 18th century or so. Foreigners still do. (85.145.139.80 (talk) 15:45, 13 August 2008 (UTC))[reply]
I just stumbled across this by hitting the random article button. The article seems fairly solid for the most part, but there are sections that read like how-to or instructional content, which is not what Wikipedia is for. The dog on the image in this article (bubby) is what we call in the Netherlands a Stabijna (a contraction of the words stabyhoun and bijna, the dutch word for almost)
This is because they are often mixed up with wetterhouns or other dogs (like the the drenste patrijshond), you cant see this on the pup because he hasn't the curly fur but a stabyhoun has no curled tail and no white marks on the head.
