To be included in Wikipedia, facts must be verifiable using secondary sources or widely available primary sources. If the tournament received national press coverage or is otherwise verifiable -- on a respected web site, in a widely published book -- then it can be included.

Pagat.com is a respected website on card games of all sorts. Go to this page and read section D, the timeline. It's there.

That page was authored by you. It's not independent verification. UninvitedCompany 19:56, 7 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

The document there was authored by me. It was posted by someone else. I don't own the website. Obviously someone trusted me more than you do.
All you said is that it needs to be verifiable. And it is. While I theoretically could've made the claim up (I didn't) the same goes for anything else that is on the Internet, or published, for that matter.
If you want further verification, I can put you in contact with others who were at the event, or mail you a flyer for the tournament that circulated on campus. Mike Church 20:04, 7 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Please see Wikipedia:Verifiability for the standards. In part, "For an encyclopedia, sources should be unimpeachable. An encyclopedia is not primary source material. Its authors do not conduct interviews nor perform original research. Hence, anything we include should have been covered in the records, reportage, research, or studies of others. In many, if not most, cases there should be several corroborating sources available should someone wish to consult them." UninvitedCompany 20:55, 10 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Since you have justification there, I'm going to let this one go. I won't revert. Mike Church 21:06, 10 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Format should be like 2004 in video gaming?[edit]

Format should be like 2004 in video gaming where there's a nice archive of all the year-specific game articles. WinterSpw (talk) 15:47, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Remove video games from list[edit]

The following are not board games and should instead be included with 2004 in video gaming (which they all already are)

GTA San Andreas
Need for Speed Underground 2
Half-Life 2

Unless there are board game versions of these games which I am not aware of and their respective wikipedia pages don't seem to mention, it is inaccurate to mention them in this list.
