Table or not table ?[edit]

Sorry to bring the question again, but I am really puzzled about this; most articles I have seen on any vehicle tend to have tables, or get "infotablised". Besides, what would be the drawback of having a table, compared to the section/subsection system ?

The table has qualities: it is more compact, presents both general informations and technical informations at the top of the page, and only uses a vertical space which is already taken by the main photograph.

What are the inconvenients ? Rama 11:41, 26 Jan 2005 (UTC)

I also tended to be in favour of the table format at first, but it creates difficulties in terms of formatting for different browsers and smaller screens as well as being a hassle each time the style of Wikipedia is changed. It is for this reason, as well as making it easier to edit, that the participants of the Aircraft WikiProject decided to adopt the present format (which is also similar to the standard used by Jane's). The discussion which led to the change can be seen here. Impi 13:05, 26 Jan 2005 (UTC)
pfff... I wish people could stop using crapy browsers :p In the absolute, I think it's quite clear that this is precisely the kind of data for which tables are designed; but well, if there's an implementation problem, I'll leave the matter to experts :p Thanks and cheers ! how many engines etc etc[edit]

one example of the many things hopefully someone can add in. Why I tagged this. I'm sure most RS on this subject are in french, so i hope there are some bi-linguals out there lol. 72.0.180.2 (talk) 08:57, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article does say how many engines it has - it's in the Specifications section if you can't wait for someone to add it in the main text. lol - BillCJ (talk) 09:23, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Iran?[edit]

What is the source for Iran using Super-Frelons? Are they ex-Iraqi examples that took refuge in Iran in 1991? 82.120.144.125 (talk) 20:06, 13 May 2012 (UTC)cafe[reply]

None of the operators section is actually referenced but in a quick look I cant find any evidence that Iran has any Super Frelons. MilborneOne (talk) 21:24, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
There's a source given in the list of aircraft of the Iranian Air Force article but that document also gives Iran as having used Transall C-160 cargo aircraft, which as far as I know never happened. 82.120.144.125 (talk) 19:35, 14 May 2012 (UTC)cafe[reply]
It says they had 16 from 71 to 94 clearly a mix-up for Iraq, suggest it is deleted. MilborneOne (talk) 20:12, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Interestingly several Flight International articles from the early / mid 1970s attribute 16 Frelons to Iran, well before Iraq ordered any.

Order appears to have been placed in 1969 or 1970 but was presumably canceled, perhaps in favor of the Meridionali H-47s — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:0:53AA:64C:3C99:4F96:3930:4637 (talk) 19:24, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Most powerful in Europe? Never.[edit]

"It held the distinction of being the most powerful helicopter to be built in Europe at one point" -nope. Mil Mi-6 was more powerful. Replace Europe with Western Europe.
