I may be a little late, but no, "Hire Purchase" is not another name for Lease Purchase contract.

Lease option[edit]

A lease purchase is NOT the same as a lease option. A lease purchase requres a purchase at the end of the terms, a lease options allows an option to purchase at the end of the terms. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.71.226.111 (talk) 18:14, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
