Accuracy[edit]

This article needs a significant rewrite. It is factually inaccurate and missing much of the complex detail. -Howardjp 15:27, 21 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Can you (or anyone else) be specific as to the inaccuracies? Andrewa 21:28, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Split Board of Regents to own article?[edit]

I think this article is somewhat vague and overly generic. There are many differences between a Board of Regents (or Trustees, or Governors) of a public university or university system and the Board of Governors of a government or quasi-governmental entity like the BBC, USPS, or Federal Reserve Board. The term "board of governors" as treated in this article could apply to any board that governs any sort of entity at all, which seems like an overly broad concept to have a useful article about.

I propose removing the redirect from Board of Regents and turning it into its own article, with discussion of differences such as elected vs. appointed boards, a listing of the various boards (in the US at least) with date of formation, etc.
