[Untitled][edit]

Under Maltese Law first generation offspring of Maltese born individuals are automatically Maltese citizens. Those individuals listed are either of Maltese birth or Maltese citizens. All have at some point through the media verbalised that they are Maltese or part of the Maltese diaspora.

Therefore recent deletion made by Rasmus Faber is completely unfounded.

The first line of the article is "Famous or notable people from Malta include:". In my opinion, that do not include children of Maltese born persons, with no other connections to Malta. But if you change the sentence to "Famous or notable people with Maltese citizenship include:", I would have no problem with you adding such persons. It would however be nice, if, in the future, when challenged to give sources: ie.

that you do so, instead of just reinserting. But thanks for answering and thanks for contributing! Rasmus (talk) 15:48, 17 Feb 2005 (UTC)
This is incorrect. Justine/Jason Bateman's mother is Maltese. Refer to the discussion page for Jason Bateman where corroborating links are provided. Kalindoscopy (talk) 16:52, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kelly Ryan[edit]

Is this spam? Maltesedog 20:10, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Not spam, but probably vanity. I have removed it until someone can provide evidence of notability. Rasmus (talk) 21:37, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

HELA proposes to work on Maltese writers[edit]

HELA (Hub for Excellence in Literary Arts) is Malta-based a non-profit organisation that has been organising monthly meet-ups with Wikimedia Community Malta in 2019. The follow list of Maltese writers was selected by them as a point of reference for pages to create or edit:

Some of the red links above need to be proven notable through verifiable sources for inclusion in the English-language Wikipedia but it may be easier to establish notability for them on the Maltese-language Wikipedia. Perhaps this initiative is better placed as part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Malta. Thought and suggestions are most welcome, of course! --ToniSant (talk) 13:42, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Raymond Fenech Gonzi[edit]

I have removed Raymond Fenech Gonzi for the time being - it would be best if an article is created first and his notability established before his name is added to this list. --Nevborg (talk) 18:02, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
