Talk:History of the U.S. Southern states

My apologies for not having adequately sought out the History of the U.S. South prior to the introduction of this article, but I didn't see any links to the actual region U.S. Southern states when I split the history section off from there. However, I think that the name of the region should be incorporated into the name of the history; thus I propose the source should be History of the U.S. South while the target is the History of the U.S. Southern states. In spite of this naming business, I'd also like to say that I think there's very much valuable information in both articles, and the merging might take some time (and definitely any help would be quite appreciated).
