Untitled[edit]

What is the difference b/t commentators and correspondents? Does it mean anything? Are they given such titles at the end of their pieces? +sj + 07:42, 29 Jan 2005 (UTC)

I'm not positive, but I think correspondents are full-time employees of NPR, while commentators are employed full-time elsewhere and contribute to NPR on a contractual basis. older≠wiser 13:04, Jan 29, 2005 (UTC)

Correspondents are like reporters, commentators are like opinion and feature columnists, to use a newspaper analogy. Correspondents cover many types of stories, while comnmentators tend to specialize, ex. Daniel Schorr on political issues, Frank DeFord on sports history, etc. But it's also true that correspondents are employees of NPR and commentators tend to be "elder statesmen" or celebrities known for their work elsewhere.--69.138.67.141 12:09, 4 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I found that the "More about Edwards' forced departure" external link at the end of the article is broken. It links to the Washington Post, but I was unable to find the referred article. Does anyone know if this is available elsewhere? Dgstangel 05:25, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just learned that this show originated as an hour-long morning news show on KERA-FM in Dallas. The originator of the program was the station manager of KERA at the time, Bob Ray Sanders. Show "Tell Me More" no long produced?[edit]

In the Satellite radio section is says: "Tell Me More" ... is featured on NPR Now, channel 12 but the show's page does not mention this and says the show was canceled in 2014. Format section needs re-write to describe Morning Edition's new schedule[edit]

Anyone interested in taking on the changes? Since I have a conflict of interest, I'm alerting y'all that the show's schedule (referred to in the industry as the "clock") will be different starting August 13, 2018. The updated Morning Edition schedule means that most of the article's "Format" section will need to be revised.

The new clock is reported in The Current article in May 2018, NPR shares final version of new ‘Morning Edition’ clock. (Warning! The Current has a paywall after the first article, so be sure you're ready before clicking the link.) General information about the proposed clock was reported by Inside Radio in April 2018, New Show Clock Proposed For ‘Morning Edition.

Since the affected part of the article is so large that it might be considered a major re-write, I'm checking in with y'all before doing an official edit request.
