What sources gave the fact "Some of the songs on the album were originally written for Reese's short-lived band with Sonnie Johnson from Five Iron Frenzy and Ethan Luck from The O.C. Supertones called Guerilla Rodeo." I really don't believe that's true. I think it should be taken out of the article.

It's true. Several of the songs were co-written by GR-bandmembers (mostly Ethan Luck I believe), and I think Reese said so once. I'll try and find something on it.

Just because Eathan Luck helped write songs for Guerilla Rodeo and later Roper's Brace Yourself..., doesn't mean that the songs on Brace Yourself... were intended to be on the GR demo. From what I understand, Guerilla Rodeo wrote the songs only days before recording. Five Iron was busy with preparing for the Farewell tour, and the band wanted a demo to show off their sound on the Farewell tour. The low quality of the songs on the GR demo demonstrates that the songs were written with haste.

I'm pretty sure the idea of Roper re-using materials from Guerilla Rodeo is a rumor that developed on the Roper messageboard.

"Dismal sales"[edit]

The band is currently on hiatus as they work through some financial difficulties, resulting from dismal sales of their first album and tour.

Yeah. It can't be used by Wikipedia, even though it's true. The only source is the messageboards, where Jonathan Byrnside gave a sort of news update last Sept.

how can you know that only messageboards are a source for this information? many people talk to Byrnside over instant messenger, or even in person. doesn't that count as a source? call it and "informal interview"...

Merge from Guerilla Rodeo[edit]

I highly suspect this is non-controversial, but if anyone is wondering, after four years of no sources on GR, and since GR is essentially just background material to Roper, I have merged the articles to here. Had neither of these bands had an articles today, this is definately how the articles would have been written.
