Corrections and Updates to the Goldman Environmental Prize Page[edit]

Hello!

I'm Ilan Kayatsky, the communications director [2] at the Goldman Environmental Prize, and I was hoping to make some corrections and updates to the page.

In the first paragraph, second sentence:

"The prize includes a no-strings-attached award of US$175,000 per recipient.[1]" [I recommend striking this entire sentence -- the amount is not accurate AND,
more importantly, the cash prize can pose real safety concerns in the communities where Prize winners live. Many of the Prize winners are living at-risk
    to their safety]

In the first paragraph, third sentence:

"Since the prize was established in 1989, a total of $15.9 million has been awarded to 157 people from more than 79 countries, as of 2013.[1]" [Current info is:
a total of $22,060,000 has been awarded to 188 people from 87 countries, as of 2018]

In the second paragraph:

"The Goldman Environmental Prize was created in 1990 by civic leaders and philanthropists Richard N. Goldman and his wife, Rhoda H. Goldman.[1]" [As the Prize
was jointly set up by both Richard and Rhoda, I suggest instead: "The Goldman Environmental Prize was created in 1989 by civic leaders
and philanthropists Richard N. Goldman and Rhoda H. Goldman."]

In the fourth paragraph, first sentence:

"In 2013, David Gordon became executive director of the foundation.[4]" [As of 2018, the new executive director is Michael Sutton]

Thank you very much,

check Partially implemented
  1. Green tickY This sentence was deleted.
  2. Red XN This claim requires a reference, unless the amount listed in the presently existing reference correctly states 22 as opposed to 15. Please advise.
  3. Green tickY This sentence was altered as requested.
  4. Red XN This claim requires a reference, preferably from the company itself.

Additionally, as the list of winners contains more than two elements per row (date, name and location) this information should be placed in a table. Regards, spintendo 20:23, 11 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

For #4:

    # Red XN This claim requires a reference, preferably from the company itself.
    Reference - [1]

Please delete the sentence referenced in number two. That information is not currently publicly available so cannot be cited.

For number four, please reference https://www.goldmanprize.org/blog/announcing-new-executive-director/.

I've removed the outdated info on the prize money as requested. As another editor removed the info about the previous executive director, I'm not sure if it's necessary to add the info about the new ED as it's not directly relevant to this article.
