Undue weight on viruses & alternative theories of life[edit]

Per WP:UNDUE, I do not think that discussion of viruses and their dubious place in cell theory belongs in the lead section. Cell theory remains nearly universally accepted in the life sciences - as seen by articles, textbooks, and even entire journals continuing to treat cell theory as implicit fact. I edited the second paragraph to remove a source which did not support its cited statement, and adjusted its wording for readability, but I question whether that paragraph should be removed entirely.
