Ago Gratias[edit]

Salve, Cvaneg!
Thanks for your replies re the World Series Trophy and Josh Steiner. As soon as I saw the name it clicked that was correct--I just couldn't think of it before. Many thanks and I hope I can be of service to you in the future. Ave atque vale! PedanticallySpeaking 16:48, Nov 13, 2004 (UTC)

Solana[edit]

We are into an edit war, Cumbey and I. She just reverted the article to her inaccurate version, Ferdinand González, misplacing of the Barcelona Conference (now up for deletion) etc. I think because she has made no attempt to clear up her mistakes that this is vandalism.--SqueakBox 03:39, Mar 11, 2005 (UTC)

NPOV Dispute Notice Placement[edit]

Hello Cvaneg... Regarding the placement of the NPOV Dispute Notice at the bottom of the Ramakrishna Paramahamsa article, did you read the talk? I explained that I placed it at the bottom because when it was at the top it had be removed by User:Ramashray (who is very definsive of his (her?) article.) I am trying to engage in a careful working through of these issues with a very partisan person. Comments and additions by two other wikipedians have bolstered my case, and Ramashray has participated in the addition of information about the disputes regarding Ramakrishna. We have a teaching moment here...but it's explosive (c.f. the wildly negative and defamatory comments by Ramakrishnan partisans about Jeffrey Kripal and Wendy Doniger...)

I have searched the Wikipedia for some indication of a required placement for the notice, but do not find it. If it is all the same to you, I would prefer to put it back where I had it... Unless, of course, I've overlooked the set , agreed upon convention, in which case I'd appreciate your pointing me to the chapter & verse. Thanks, Emyth 00:50, Mar 28, 2005 (UTC)

Health Management Associates Scandal[edit]

I saw that you moved the NPOV notice on HMA to the top of the article. Notice that it clearly says 'see the talk section'. Yet, you placed nothing at all in the talk section. Kainaw 13:29, 28 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Harassment[edit]

Thanks, Cvaneg, for reverting 66.52.193.147's "call dave at work, here's the number" addition to my user profile. That explains why I got a harrassing anonymous phone call at work today (well, yesterday, now). (I also got a similar email.) This is the work of one of the partisans for Michael Schiavo, who don't like what I have to say on the Talk:Terri_Schiavo page. Sweet folks, eh? Unfortunately, he also put it in the history comments, which is unremovable. But I do appreciate your revert. NCdave 09:49, 30 Mar 2005 (UTC)

RFC[edit]

I have filed a request for comment on NCdave. You can visit the page by going here. I have left this message on your talk page since you have been involved in the dispute resolution process regarding his edits in the past. Mike H 11:34, Apr 12, 2005 (UTC)

I have changed the copyright status to GFDL - which is what it should have been and all my other pictures are - don't know why it was shown as fairuse - an error! Kind regards A curate's egg 19:41, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Um...[edit]

It's up to you, but from past experience, I've decided not to go at it with Mel in the Misleading Food Names list. For some reason, this thing is his obsession, and he will not let go of it. I have my own obsessions, so I let him alone here. Mostly. I, someone who completely is in favor of the very POV description of sweetbreads, actually did argue for its removal (you may see this in his talk page recent archive), but gave up. It's not worth it. Care for a vegetarian marshmallow? --Mothperson 18:54, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)

viking ship[edit]

  • Do you have a better angle? Since it's called a longship I feel like we should probably be able to see the length of it. --CVaneg 29 June 2005 18:59 (UTC)
Hallo Cvaneg! This photo is intended to dramatize the artistic expression and symmetry from an exact frontal vantage. An oblique view is on the Viking ship page, I also have a side view, but (for my feeling) this is the most beautiful Uwe Kils June 29, 2005 19:15 (UTC)

Court cases[edit]

Thanks for your reply at WP:RD. I am grateful. PedanticallySpeaking 18:03, July 13, 2005 (UTC)

Okay, thanks for your answers re detainees, passports, and health insurance. (The court cases was the wrong header, from thanking people on another question I posed.) PedanticallySpeaking 18:21, July 13, 2005 (UTC)

Dear User: IMPORTANT WIKI ARCADE GAMES PROJECT NOTICE[edit]

As you should be aware the wiki arcade games project has been marked inactive and with good reason. I am trying to increase the activity of this project but first I need to know who is still actually interested. So to find out I have put inactive next to the name of every person who has put them selves down as a participant of the project. If for whatever reason you do not intend to participate in the project anymore please remove your name from the participant list altogether. If you do but not in the near future leaving inactive next to your username will be helpful. Not taking any action at all will of course lead to inactive remaining against your name on the participant list. If however you have every intention on continuing in participating in the project please come change the "inactive" next to your username to "ACTIVE" so that it is clear who does and who does not still have interest in participating in the project. Thankyou for your time. --Hybrid360 (talk) 20:09, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GA reassessment of Terri Schiavo case[edit]

I have conducted a reassessment of the above article as part of the GA Sweeps process. You are being notified as you have made a number of edits to this page. I have found some concerns which you can see at Talk:Terri Schiavo case/GA1. I have placed the article on hold whilst these are fixed. Thanks. Jezhotwells (talk) 21:17, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
